Students' collaboration skills have not developed optimally due to the lack of application of learning models that encourage active participation. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model on student collaboration skills on respiratory system material at UPT SMA Negeri 7 Wajo. The method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two XI classes, each totaling 30 students, which were determined through purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included observation sheet of PjBL syntax implementation and collaboration skills questionnaire. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, independent t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed a significant increase in students' collaboration skills in the experimental class compared to the control class (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the PjBL model effectively strengthens learning interactions through structured group work and contextualized projects. This research contributes to the development of 21st century learning and supports the integration of project-based approaches in the Merdeka Curriculum. This study also enriches empirical evidence on the application of PjBL in the topic of the respiratory system which has not been widely researched at the high school level.
