Abstract

This study is a systematic literature review aimed at examining the influence of social media usage on the ethical and moral behavior of high school adolescents, focusing on literature published in the last 10 years (2013-2024) and indexed by Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. The results of the study indicate that social media usage has a significant impact on adolescents' perceptions of ethical and moral norms in their social interactions. Additionally, the findings highlight the importance of parental involvement in shaping adolescents' ethical attitudes toward social media usage. These findings underscore the need for a deeper understanding of the impact of social media on adolescent moral development and the crucial role of parents in guiding adolescents in responsible social media usage.
