PENGARUH PEMAKAIAN SERAT IJUK DAN FOAM-AGENT TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK BETON BUSA

Abstract


Foam concrete is obtained by adding the foaming-agent added to the concrete mix. The research using experimental methods and variables used are the independent variables and the dependent variable. The dependent variable: the density, compressive strength and tensile strength divided. The independent variables: the percentage of foaming-agent with a variation of 0%, 1% and 2% by weight of cement to the processing ratio FA: water = 1: 20 and the percentage of palm fiber ± 2.5 cm with a variation of 0% and 2% by weight of cement.The result of this research, the addition of foaming-agent can be lower the density, compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete foam sides and the addition of fiber can increase the density, compressive strength and tensile strength of foam concrete the other sides. Results of testing the compressive strength and tensile strength sides of foam concrete obtained optimum value on the variation of the mixture of foaming-agent 1% and palm fiber 2% at the curing of 28 days with the compressive strength of 19.73 MPa in the category of quality grade-I and value of tensile strength sides amounting to 1,897 MPa.
