Eksistensi jamu sebagai minuman tradisional di dunia penelitian modern dan potensinya dalam kajian in silico

Abstract


Jamu merupakan obat tradisional yang berasal dari Indonesia dan masih menjadi salah satu topik menarik dalam dunia penelitian hingga saat ini. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menganalisis artikel-artikel penelitian terbitan tahun 2017 dengan topik kajiannya adalah jamu. Studi diawali dengan mengumpulkan artikel-artikel yang membahas jamu dari jurnal-jurnal terindeks DOAJ. Selanjutnya, setiap artikel akan dianalisis berdasarkan jamu yang dikaji, penyakit yang dikaji, serta hasil penelitiannya.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, beberapa fokus penelitian yang dikaji oleh para peneliti jamu, yaitu kajian bahan alami kandidat jamu, khasiat jamu dalam penyembuhan penyakit, dampak negatif jamu, kontaminasi mikroba dalam produk jamu, budidaya tanaman jamu, serta pemanfaatan limbah jamu.  Beberapa jamu yang dikaji pada penelitian-penelitian tersebut, yaitu berbagai jamu gendong dan produk jamu baru. Penyakit-penyakit yang dikaji, antara lain tumor, gangguan hati, dan diabetes. Studi ini dapat memberikan gambaran keragaman topik penelitian dari berbagai artikel yang dikaji. Pengkajian jamu berbasis in silico juga dapat digunakan sebagai terobosan dalam penelitian jamu di Indonesia.
