Minat baca mahasiswa program studi pendidikan dari berbagai angkatan ditinjau dari tingkat kunjungan ke perpustakaan

Abstract


Membaca merupakan suatu kebutuhan bagi setiap manusia, termasuk mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji minat baca mahasiswa melalui parameter jumlah pengunjung perpustakaan di dalam lingkungan kampus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey untuk melihat sebaran tingkat minat baca mahasiswa dari berbagai angkatan masuk di beberapa program studi salah satu fakultas keguruan perguruan tinggi di Malang. Data pengujung perpustakaan kampus selama empat minggu dikumpulkan kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan two-way ANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kunjungan ke perpustakaan tidak berbeda signifikan, baik pada faktor program studi (p-value = 0,541), tahun masuk mahasiswa (p-value = 0,106), maupun pada faktor interaksi (p-value = 0,106). Temuan pada penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa minat baca mahasiswa tidak dipengaruhi oleh asal program studi dan tahun masuk mahasiswa-mahasiswa tersebut.
