Indeks prestasi antara mahasiswa asal jawa dengan luar jawa ditinjau dari berbagai angkatan di Kota Malang

Abstract


Indeks prestasi mahasiswa diindikasikan dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik dari lingkungan maupun daam diri mahasiswa masing-masing. Studi ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh faktor asal daerah terhadap indeks prestasi mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian dalam studi ini adalah mahasiswa di salah satu kampus swasta di Kota Malang. Pengambilan data indeks prestasi dilakukan pada mahasiswa dari tiga angkatan berbeda dengan tujuan melihat ada tidaknya kecenderungan perubahan temuan penelitian dari berbagai angkatan tersebut. Data hasil penelitian dianalsis dengan menggunakan independent samples t test dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis data mengindikasikan bahwa indeks prestasi mahasiswa dari Jawa dan luar Jawa tidak memiliki perbedaan signifikan, baik pada mahasiswa angkatan 2014 [t hitung (1,446) < t tabel (3,3060], 2015 [t hitung (1,100) < t tabel (3,3060], maupun 2016 [t hitung (1,555) < t tabel (3,3060]. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Jawa maupun Non-Jawa memiliki tingkat akademik yang sama.
