The speaking ability of the english club’s second year students of the State SMA 1 Kefamenanu

Abstract


The research is conducted to describe the speaking ability of English Club’s students of the state SMA 1 Kefamenanu. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative design. To collect the data, The sample of this research was eleventh grade students which consist of 15 students. The researchers utilized the measurement technique to collect the data and the tool of data collecting was oral performance test. The results of the research showed the frequencies are 60 (1), 68 (3), 72 (4), 76 (2), 82(2), 84(2), 88 (1); the avarage score is 74,9 with deviation 838,9; the median is 72; the mode is 72; the highest score is 88 and the lowest score is 60. In concusion, the english club’s second year students of the state SMA 1 Kefamenanu are able to speak English. This study produced some suggestions and recommendations for various parties involved in it.
