Implementation of full day school curriculum at LPI Sabilillah Malang (concept, model and approach)

Abstract


The full day school curriculum is the result of the school administrator's evaluation of the government's proposal to make reforms that are tailored to the needs of parents, social conditions, culture, character and religion in the area. This study aims to analyze the implementation model and the factors that influence the implementation of the full day school curriculum at LPI Sabilillah Malang. This study uses a descriptive type of research using a qualitative approach. Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model by Miles Huberman and Saldana in the form of Data Condensation, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing/Verifications. This research uses analysis of policy implementation model by Wayne Parsons. The results of the study indicate that the full day school concept applied by LPI Sabilillah Malang focuses on character education and habituation of character. The curriculum implementation model uses a hybrid model. Full day school is an education system approach that aims to design school management by giving power to schools in an effort to improve school performance involving teachers, students, schools and parents. Full day school combines the national curriculum with an additional curriculum (the hallmark of the school). Conclusion This research is a full day school curriculum policy applied by LPI Sabilillah Malang is a hybrid policy implementation model that focuses on character education and habituation of character in schools. Implementation of the full day school curriculum is influenced by internal and external factors which include communication, resources, attitudes, bureaucratic structure, social, economic conditions, culture and local political dynamics.
