The effect of blended learning implementation in discovery learning model on students' critical thinking ability

Abstract


This research was motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students in otkp class X business economy subjects at SMK Model IV Patriot Kuningan. The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the difference in posttest critical thinking ability between the experimental class in the Discovery Learning model and the control class. 2) To describe the difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking ability between the experiment class in the Discovery Learning model and the control class. This type of research is quantitative research and the research method used is a quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The focus of the research is the critical thinking ability of students, especially students of Class X. Based on the results of the study obtained 1) There is a difference in critical thinking ability between students who are taught by applying blended learning in the discovery learning model compared to the method of lectures In this case the results of critical thinking ability of students who are taught apply blended learning in the discovery learning model is higher compared to students who are taught using lecture methods. 2) There is a difference in critical thinking skills improvement between students who are taught by applying blended learning in the discovery learning model compared to the lecture method.
