Abstract

Purpose of this study was to determine the students' adaptive reasoning ability by applying the traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" based on Android which is better than direct learning. This research is a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type of non-equivalent control group. The purpose of the study was to determine the improvement of students' spatial skills through the application of the traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" based on Android. The population in this study were all class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kahu with a sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. The experimental class in this study was class VIII B, totaling 25 students and the control class was class VIII B, totaling 25 students. The experimental class was given treatment with the traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" based on android, while the control class was not given treatment with the traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" based on android. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students' adaptive reasoning abilities through the application of the traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" based on android with the average value of the experimental class after learning was higher, namely 72,735 compared to the average value of the control class, which was 48,093. This shows that learning with the application of the Android-based traditional game "Lojo-Lojo Pindip" has increased the students' adaptive reasoning abilities.
