The students’ ability in writing journalistic in MTs Al- Ulum Medan

This research aimed to find out the experience and the impact of student ability in writing journalistic as extracurricular activities in MTs Al- Ulum Medan. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research was eighth grade which is consisted of 13 students. Data were taken from interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed by using model Miles and Huberman. There are 4 steps. They are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. The result showed that journalistic extracurricular activity has a positive impact as the greatly assists the development of students' interests and talents. They can hone the skill of writing, drawing and MTs Al- Ulum had a magazine that is tarbiyah Magazine.
